Appium – Set Up

In order to have Appium set-up on a MacOS machine, you’ll need the .dmg file to install Appium and other dependencies.

I’m not gonna go deep in the installation because there are a hundred million blog posts for the same. For Python, with PyCharm, I was about to write the complete set up, however, I found a YouTube channel that has described the whole process in detail. You can refer to the video for a better understanding, because personally, I find videos more easy and friendly then long text posts.

Once done, now follow the steps mentioned in below video to install PyCharm, Appium Python client on the machine you have.

Once done, you’ll be ready to write Appium test cases using Python.
